MANGINA
MAGAZINE
INFO
Mangina Magazine was created by (me) Cindy Wonderful in 2012, it was inspired by the art piece "Mimetics" a short run magazine by the artist formerly known as Benjamin Teicher, now known as TUSK, or Adrienne Teicher. A polygendered musician, performer, writer, creative mastermind, and dear friend. I took one look at this magazine and fell in love. The magazine was layed out in the style of classic gay male porn and it featured picture after picture of Manginas from the likes of a pool boy, a sailor, a tennis player, and so on...., there were clever ads about fake products that could "maximize your mangina" and things like that. It was funny, brilliant, and visually stimulating.
I don't know if it was the idea of masculine males enjoying the fun of pretending to have a vagina for the photos (especially when doing anything "like a girl" is usually not cool for a guy to indulge in) Could've been some vague notion of "pussy envy" or maybe just the carefree light hearted way these guys playing with their gender , maybe I just found it funny. I am not sure what struck me so much, all I knew was that I wanted more. So here we are.
I want to celebrate the Mangina. I want to know more about Manginas. I want SEE more Manginas.
You are welcome to come along for the ride. If you would like to make a donation or submit your mangina storires or photos, write me here.
